Set Up For Student Success
The student support systems in place at Georgia State before the pandemic have proven invaluable during it, says Timothy Renick, who leads the university’s student success initiatives.
A nurse at Grady Memorial Hospital, Lauren Skinner is also pitching in to help keep her co-workers safe in the time of coronavirus. She’s taken to designing and sewing N95 mask covers and leading a Facebook group to show others how to do it, too.
As provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, Wendy Hensel guided Georgia State’s rapid transition this spring to an entirely online teaching and learning format as the coronavirus pandemic unfolded. Now she’s turning her attention to how Georgia State will deliver high quality instruction this fall.
Melissa Huang (M.F.A. ’21) and Drew Tetz (M.F.A. ’21) are both in their third year of the Master of Fine Arts program. Married for two years, the couple is adjusting to making art at home and discovering ways for people to experience their work online.
