José Alberto Azurdia Lamadrid, a graduate conducting student studying with Dr. Deanna Joseph and Dr. Jennifer Sengin, is headed to Istanbul, Turkey not only to perform with the Georgia State University Singers but also to participate in the highly competitive conducting masterclass as part of the conference. According to the event website, the masterclass with Ragnar Rasmussen will be one of the main events of the World Symposium on Choral Music (WSCM.) José will be one of six participants who will work with Rasmussen and will conduct a final masterclass concert.
The University Singers will perform at the WSCM conference on April 26th, 2023 at 8:30 p.m.
