What made you want to pursue a master’s in artificial intelligence and business transformation?
I initially started a master's program in computer science, but after doing more research and talking to a couple of entrepreneurs, I realized I am really interested in how artificial intelligence tools can be used to improve businesses and make work more efficient. At the same time, I have seen how these tools can be misused, so I want to be part of the group of people who understand how to use artificial intelligence responsibly.
What will the degree help you accomplish?
I believe this degree will give me an advantage and help me qualify for higher-level roles as opposed to entry-level positions. I also hope to build the knowledge and confidence to work at the intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, and business.
What unique background and perspectives do you bring to classroom discussions?
I have a background in computer science and entrepreneurship. I am also open-minded and enjoy learning from people with different experiences and ideas. I have traveled to different countries and studied abroad in Europe. Because of those experiences, I look at certain topics differently and bring a perspective that combines technology and business.
What discipline-specific skills do you hope to build?
I want to become more comfortable speaking in professional settings, expressing my ideas clearly, and communicating with more confidence. Understanding technology, communicating effectively, and working well with people are equally important.
Which artificial intelligence certificate did you choose and why?
I chose the Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence for Digital Innovation because I am interested in how artificial intelligence can be used to solve real business problems. I like the idea of being able to understand the technology while also learning how to apply it to businesses and help organizations make better decisions.
Why is it important for you to learn how to leverage artificial intelligence in your field?
In today’s world, it is important to know how to use artificial intelligence, especially as it continues to become a bigger part of the workplace. At the same time, I do not want to become dependent on it. I want to learn how to use it as a tool to work more efficiently while still using my own knowledge, creativity, and judgment.
