ATLANTA—The GSU student center was filled with Panther pride and curiosity as nearly 60 College of the Arts undergraduate students participated in the recent Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC), the premier annual interdisciplinary undergraduate research conference at Georgia State University. The 20th year edition drew more than 400 presenters from across the university who showcased their research and creative projects before an audience of peers, faculty and staff, and professionals in their respective fields.
College of the Arts creatives represented one of the top colleges to showcase student research, which was incorporated into their visual arts displays, musical performances and film screenings. Hosted by the newly established Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry (CURCI), the one-day event included volunteer judges in each discipline who recognized outstanding student work.
