[Atlanta, GA – April 11, 2025] — Georgia State's MTM Standard is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Sync Meetup, set to take place on April 12 and 13, 2025. The event will be held at the Florence Kopleff Recital Hall in the School of Music on Georgia State’s downtown Atlanta campus, featuring a series of panels, workshops and networking sessions that offer valuable insights on leveraging music for visual media to create and secure sync licensing placements.
The event is supported by the College of the Arts, Center for Entertainment, Sports & Intellectual Property, Atlanta Influences Everything, ATL Sync, and the Association of Independent Music Publishers.
Things kick off on April 12 with an invite-only listening session, where industry leaders will review music submissions for potential sync opportunities. Opening to the public on April 13, day two will feature dynamic music supervisor panels on film/TV and gaming, a session on Atlanta-based sync companies, a post-production panel and MTM Studio Tours/Open House. Attendees will have access to exclusive networking opportunities with professionals in the field to exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations.
“After the success of our first two Meetups, I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting our 3rd annual Sync Meetup, where we come together to celebrate and support our incredibly talented students and expose them to all the opportunities that sync licensing can offer,” shares Al Thrash, Professor of Music Management.
