ATLANTA—The Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions recently added three new members to its Board of Advisors. In alphabetical order and photo left to right, they are:
Jim Forbes is chief strategy officer of Vizzia Technologies, a healthcare software provider, recently joined the college's board of advisors. He is a recipient of the 2023 Golden Helix Award from the Center for Global Health Innovation, in recognition of his contributions to Georgia’s life sciences community.
Natalie Jones, DNP '22, RN, NPD-BC, is senior vice president of clinical practice and innovation at Prolink, where she is responsible for the clinical team's engagement and quality and programs to advance clinical quality, education and professional practice. She previously held nursing positions at DeKalb Regional Health System and Wellstar Health System, where she received the Wellstar Nursing Excellence Award for Innovation in Nursing. She is a member of the board of trustees of the Georgia Nurses Association.
Tamara Melton, MS '06, RDN, is the owner of TSM Nutrition Consultants, where she provides nutrition counseling for clients. She also is the co-founder of Diversify Dietetics, a not-for-profit that provides programming to support underrepresented dietetics students of color in their education. She previously served 10 years at Georgia State University as an advisor, admission counselor and program director.
In addition, board member Brent Robinson, RN, BSN, MS, was named chief operating officer of the Piedmont Augusta Clinical Hub. He previously served as executive director of patient services at Piedmont Henry, where he oversaw hospitality services and clinical oversight for perioperative, respiratory and women's services. He joined Piedmont in 2008.
