The spring semester is just starting, and already the student activities calendar is filled with ways for students at Georgia State University’s Perimeter College to maximize their college experience through involvement.
Several campuses are offering Student Involvement Fairs to help students explore how they can get involved in organizations and activities. The campus involvement fairs will be:
- Alpharetta: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, Building AA, Room 1140.
- Clarkston: noon-3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, CN Building Café area.
- Dunwoody: 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Feb. 14, Building NB, Room 2000.
- Newton: 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30, lobby of the Academic Center (Building 1N, Room 1000).
The Decatur Campus Panther Activities Council is hosting a vision board party to help students craft and paste to posters their aspirations and goals.
Later this month, students are invited to reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., 50 years after his assassination. The events will take place on the Decatur and Clarkston campuses on Jan. 23 and Jan. 30, respectively. Students will get the chance to sign a commemorative banner and share their thoughts on the theme “What Freedom Means to Me.”
Other free activities scheduled this semester across Perimeter’s five campuses include an opportunity to create Valentines for seniors, make Mardi Gras masks, participate in a casino-themed health and wellness day and grab breakfast on the go—while learning about Perimeter student activities.
