Personnel Systems Blackout Nov. 15 - Jan. 3

The University System of Georgia is preparing to upgrade the software that we use for personnel actions, including recruiting and hiring. We have learned that unfortunately there will be a gap between the old system being taken down, and the new system coming online. As a result, none of our units will be able to process personnel actions between November 15, 2017 and January 3, 2018. This means no hiring, including faculty members.

Here are some guidelines to help you through this period:

• If you are planning to hire staff before the end of the year (December 31, 2017), please submit all documents to College Human Resources before November 15.
• If you have a requisition that is current, expiring or possibly created between now and November 15, but you are not planning to hire before the end of the year, we suggest you leave the requisition posted and plan to hire after January 3.
• If you are planning to hire, or make any personnel changes, you must submit an ePAF to College Human Resources before November 15.
• If you have recently hired someone, you must initiate their I-9 verification and submit their hiring packets to University Human Resources before November 15. If you do so, their information will be migrated from the old system into the new system without any further action from you.
