COVINGTON, Ga. – The Newton Campus of Georgia State University’s Perimeter College is hosting a series of free events designed to help members of the community understand artificial intelligence (AI). Participants will explore how it impacts daily life and will build skills for the future.
No experience is required. This series of events is free and open to the public. Two workshops take place online (June 16 and June 23), and the series culminates with a full morning in person on the Newton Campus on Saturday, June 27.
The workshops include:
- A beginner-friendly introduction to AI
- Real-world applications in education, business and everyday life
- A hands-on, in-person session
“We are so happy to share these skills with the local community,” said Andrea Hendricks, Perimeter College’s Senior Director of Online Initiatives. “We know AI can feel overwhelming to people when they first get started and maybe they don’t even know how to get started. We’d like to serve as a starting point for our neighbors and offer them tools and an opportunity to learn with us, especially at our in-person event on June 27.”
