CLARKSTON, Ga. — Perimeter College at Georgia State University recognized eight faculty members for their excellence in teaching, research and service during the school’s annual Faculty Excellence Awards ceremony Friday, March 7.
Ken Johnson, associate dean for faculty affairs, welcomed those in attendance to the ceremony, followed by opening remarks from Barbara J. Johnson, dean of Perimeter College.
“The faculty members we celebrate today embody the very best of what it means to be educators, mentors and scholars,” Barbara J. Johnson said.
“It takes unwavering passion and devotion to make this college not just a place of learning, but a place of growth and opportunity. The awardees we honor today reflect this and have gone above and beyond in their roles, consistently fostering an environment where students are empowered to explore, question and reach their fullest potential.”
