DECATUR, Ga.—Perimeter College at Georgia State University will host its fall commencement ceremony at the Georgia State Convocation Center on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m.
The event will be held in conjunction with graduates from Georgia State’s College of Education & Human Development, Institute for Biomedical Sciences and School of Public Health, with Perimeter recognizing an estimated 669 candidates who will receive their associate degree from one of the state’s largest two-year colleges.
Barbara Johnson, Ph.D., is dean of Perimeter College.
“Graduation is the pinnacle of student success at Perimeter College,” she said.
“There’s no greater joy than celebrating the hard work of our graduates along with their friends and families.
“On behalf of the entire college, I extend congratulations to the class of ’24 and wish them continued success as they either pursue other degrees or go directly into the workforce.”
Perimeter College offers more than 30 academic pathways leading to an associate of arts or associate of science degree. Business administration, computer science, nursing, health sciences professions and psychology are among the top picks for students.
Nearly 25 percent of Perimeter’s fall Class of 2024 are the first in their families to graduate from college.
