In her new role, Tucker will provide leadership to reinforce the College’s strategic goals in research and scholarship, and she will develop programs and connect faculty members with resources to achieve their research goals, long-term scholarship plan and strategies for securing funding, public engagement and scholarly recognition.
“The work of our faculty spans our most pressing current issues from urban development, democracy, children's rights, criminal justice reform, access to justice, sustainable development, land use, health law, IP, real estate, professionalism and the list goes on and on,” said Tucker. “One of our greatest assets at the College of Law is the talent pool in our faculty of all ranks.”
Initially drawn to Georgia State University for its reputation as a transformational public institution for a diverse student population, Tucker has also become an advocate and mentor for her fellow faculty members, and her commitment to faculty excellence is evident in the myriad of roles she has served prior to this appointment.
