Atlanta, Georgia - The Georgia State School of Music proudly announces the appointment of David "Dos Dias" Bishop as the newest addition to its esteemed faculty. Renowned for his exceptional talents as a producer, Grammy Award-winner, and multi-platinum recording and mixing engineer, Bishop brings a wealth of industry experience and expertise to his new role.
A passionate advocate for music and its technical intricacies, Bishop's journey into the realm of audio began with an unwavering commitment to his craft. Graduating from Morehouse College, Bishop's musical prowess led him into the vibrant Metro-Atlanta music scene, where his talents as a DJ caught the attention of industry luminaries, propelling him into the world of recording and mixing engineering.
Throughout his career, Bishop has collaborated with some of the most iconic figures in Hip-Hop and R&B, including Young Nudy, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, 6LACK, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Usher, The Weeknd, J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Summer Walker. His ability to sculpt distinctive sonic landscapes tailored to each artist's vision has earned him widespread acclaim and recognition.

As the newly appointed Professor of Practice for Music Production and Audio Recording, Bishop will provide expert instruction and mentorship to students in the Bachelor of Science in Music Industry program, focusing on Music Production & Audio Recording and related fields. He will also contribute to service initiatives at various levels and collaborate with faculty to elevate the Music Industry Area within the School of Music. Additionally, his involvement with the GSU Student-led record label "MTM Standard" will offer valuable guidance to aspiring artists, reaffirming Georgia State's commitment to fostering talent and innovation in the music industry.
