DECATUR, Ga.—Perimeter College at Georgia State University hosted its spring commencement ceremony at the Georgia State Convocation Center on Thursday, May 2, at 5 p.m.
The event was held in conjunction with graduates from Georgia State’s College of Education & Human Development, Institute for Biomedical Sciences and School of Public Health.
Perimeter recognized approximately 613 candidates who received their associate degree from the state’s largest two-year college.
“Graduation is such an exciting time at Perimeter—not only for our students and their families, but also for our faculty, staff and college community,” said Dr. Barbara J. Johnson, Perimeter College dean.
“On behalf of the entire college, I extend congratulations and well wishes to the class of ’24 on marking this incredible milestone. We wish continued success for each of our graduates as they either pursue other degrees or go directly into the workforce.”
Perimeter College offers more than 30 academic pathways leading to an associate of arts or associate of science degree. Business administration, computer science, nursing, dental hygiene, health sciences professions and psychology are among the top picks for students.
Nearly 25 percent of Perimeter’s Class of 2024 are the first in their families to graduate from college. The youngest graduate is 16 and the oldest 72.
