ATLANTA — Georgia State University's Graduate School celebrates rises in the latest U.S. News & World Report survey of "Best Graduate Schools."
Now ranked top 20 in the nation, Georgia State’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies climbed to No. 16 among public affairs colleges in the U.S. This jump marks an impressive six-point advancement from the previous year. The prestigious rise of the school is evident, with several graduate programs ranked among the nation’s top 10 including No. 3 ranked urban policy program, No. 5 ranked public finance and budgeting degree and No. 6 ranked nonprofit management program boasting an impressive four spot rise. Similarly, the school’s local government management program rose to No. 9 nationally, up from 15 last year with local public management and leadership climbing to No. 14. The overall performance underscores the Andrew Young School's unwavering commitment to excellence in public affairs and policy.
The College of Education and Human Development received special recognition for its elementary teacher education degree which debuted as a top 20 graduate program, securing a tie for No.19 in the nation. This ranking showcases the institution's dedication to preparing outstanding educators for the future.
Among law schools, Georgia State’s College of Law was well represented, with the No.1 health care law degree, maintaining its recognition as a top five law program for the sixth consecutive year. Despite a slight dip in overall ranking, the College of Law's part-time law program and clinical training program remained in the top 20, holding steady at No. 17 and No. 19 respectively.
The J. Mack Robinson College of Business ranked in the top 10 for its well-regarded graduate program in information systems and maintained its ranking for part-time MBA programs at No. 28, highlighting the college's dedication to fostering leadership and innovation in business education.
Dr. Lisa Armistead, Dean of The Graduate School at Georgia State, emphasized the university’s dedication to academic excellence, stating, "These rankings underscore The Graduate School's commitment to excellence across a diverse range of fields.
