ATLANTA — Five alumni from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies (AYSPS), along with the college’s senior director of development, Amanda Puché, were among the 40 remarkable alumni under the age of 40 recently honored by the Georgia State University Alumni Association.
The association’s 40 Under 40 awards ceremony was held March 31 at The Foundry at Puritan Mill in Atlanta.
“These incredible Georgia State alumni are making their mark in every imaginable field,” said Georgia State President M. Brian Blake. “They’re leading, innovating and making contributions that bring pride to the university. Congratulations to this year’s outstanding class.”
AYSPS members of the Georgia State University Alumni Association 40 Under 40 Class of 2023 are:
- Meredith Bailey (B.S. in Criminal Justice ’07, M.S. in Criminal Justice ’12), supervisory criminal intelligence analyst, Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
- E’lon Ciriaco (B.A. in International Economics and Modern Languages ’17), senior global product manager, Equifax.

“We’re very proud to acknowledge that our department again has multiple alumni named among this year’s 40 Under 40 awardees,” said Dean Dabney, chair of the Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology. “Our hats off to Meredith Bailey, who got her B.S. and M.S. from us and now works for the GBI, and Shila Hawk, who earned her Ph.D. with the department and now works for the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Remington Rolé, who earned his B.S. from us and an M.P.P. from our college, now impacts policy, planning, client relations and program delivery as a senior project manager in healthcare/health IT.”
Puché (B.A. ’08, M.A. ’12), an accomplished fundraiser who specializes in major gifts, estate planning, annual giving and strategic relationship management, has raised more than $1.75 million in new philanthropic support for AYSPS. She’s also active in the metro Atlanta community as a volunteer and advocate for improving the lives of women and girls through the Georgia Women’s Policy Institute.
Started in 2018, Georgia State’s 40 Under 40 program annually celebrates the most influential and accomplished Georgia State graduates who embody the values of the university.
“In boardrooms, courtrooms and classrooms, labs, clinics and health care facilities here in metro Atlanta and in communities across the country, Georgia State alumni are making a difference and inspiring Panthers,” said Christina Million (MBA ’10), associate vice president of alumni affairs and executive director of the Georgia State Alumni Association. “This year’s 40 Under 40 honorees are dynamic leaders, teachers, innovators and entrepreneurs who exemplify The State Way and distinguish themselves in their professions and communities.”
