ATLANTA — Alumnus Troy Crittendon has joined the staff of Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies as assistant director of alumni relations. He manages alumni programs, communications and experiences for the Office of Career Services and Alumni Relations.
“We’re very excited to have Troy with us,” Director Colleen Perry said. “This is particularly fun for our office since Troy was a graduate assistant here in 2018-19 and was an important part of our team during that time.”
Crittendon looks to bring his experience in public service to the Andrew Young School to enrich the alumni journey. He has worked more than six years in the public-service sector, serving on staff on Capitol Hill, managing voter efficacy programs and registering more than 37,000 people to vote in the metropolitan Atlanta area. He was selected as a 2021 fellow with the New Leaders Council and holds a Nonprofit Professional certificate he earned with the Georgia State chapter of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
Prior to rejoining the college, Crittendon was a fiscal policy analyst in the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget, working to ensure the efficient stewardship of Georgia resources for some of the state’s most critical public safety agencies. From there, he managed and crafted public policy platforms for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce to further build Georgia’s workforce of the future.
Throughout his career, Crittendon has been committed to building and fostering community among students and alumni, serving as president of the Georgia State Young Alumni Council for 2022-23 and on the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors for his undergraduate alma mater, where he was recognized as a 2022 Thriving Under 30 Alumni Award recipient.
Crittendon holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of West Georgia and a Master of Public Administration from Georgia State University.
