ATLANTA—Georgia Trend Magazine recently named Andrew Young School of Policy alumni Andre Dickens (M.P.A. '13), Greg Dozier (B.S. Criminal Justice ‘93 and M.B.A ‘03) and Jerry Gonzalez (M.P.A. '05) to its 100 Most Influential Georgians list.
Honorees are recognized for their character, influence and leadership. They represent a mix of public figures and those who work behind the scenes inspiring and leading efforts to conquer challenges in pursuit of a better Georgia.
Atlanta’s Mayor Andre Dickens, recognized in Georgia Trend as a City Leader, is a former Atlanta City Council member and nonprofit executive. Some of his mayoral priorities include improving public safety, affordable housing and service delivery.
Commissioner Greg Dozier of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) was honored for leading its mission to provide Georgia businesses with a highly trained and skilled workforce. Under Dozier’s leadership, high school students can receive TCSG college credits for certain agricultural, career and technical education courses in a recent collaboration with the Georgia Department of Education.
Jerry Gonzalez, founder and CEO of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials (GALEO), leads campaigns including voter registration to bring more Latino voters into political processes in Georgia.
The Influential Georgians are celebrated for their role in improving the lives of all its citizens.
“Andrew Young School alumni continue to make significant impacts in their communities,” said Dean Sally Wallace. “We’re proud of these alums for their recognition as ‘Most Influential Georgians’.”
