ATLANTA—Georgia State University College of Law once again ranks above the state average for the July 2021 bar passage rate.
The College of Law’s rate was 86.0 percent for first-time test takers and 81.1 percent overall. This puts the College of Law ahead of the overall state average of 73.2 percent.
For the third time, the bar exam was held online because of the COVID-19 pandemic, adding extra stress for test-takers. Dean LaVonda N. Reed attributes the strong bar prep program at the College of Law and the hard work each graduate put in for this year’s strong performance.
“Our curriculum prepares students to graduate bar-exam ready,” said Reed. “We strive to create a space for our students to thrive from the moment they begin their 1L year to when they take the bar. Our students continue to rise to the top, even during unprecedented circumstances, and we are so proud.”
The College of Law was also ranked No. 8 by National Jurist magazine as a top school for bar passage this year. Find more rankings and recognitions here.
