Georgia State To Hold In-Person, Socially Distant Commencements

ATLANTA—Georgia State University will celebrate its 2020 graduates in person at Center Parc Stadium on Dec. 16 and 17.

Graduates were notified of the events last week. The university will implement strict social distancing protocols at the in-person events.

For those who do not feel comfortable participating in person, the university will host virtual ceremonies for each academic school, college and institute. Graduates from spring, summer and fall will be included in the virtual ceremonies. More information on when those ceremonies will take place will be available in the coming weeks.

Graduates who did not indicate on graduation applications they planned to attend their ceremony will need to contact the graduation office at 404-413-2248 or [email protected] to update their graduation application to indicate they would like to attend an in-person ceremony.
