ATLANTA - Congratulations to the winners of the College of the Arts School of Music 2018 Honors Recital and Dean’s Award!
The Honors Recital took place on March 4th at Florence Kopleff Recital Hall and featured stellar performances from more than a dozen music students in the Georgia State University School of Music. The juried Dean’s Award recognized the top three performances for artistic excellence. Dr. Nickitas Demos, Interim Director of the School of the Music, presented the awards to the following winners:
1st Place – Centennial Saxophone Quartet
- Megan Bauman, soprano saxophone
- Douglas Tiller, alto saxophone
- Ciara Hill, tenor saxophone
- Hassan High, baritone saxophone
2nd Place – Tsai-Wei Li, piano
3rd Place – Ethan Michel, tenor
Thank you to the guest jury that included Annalisa C. Chang, Assistant Professor and Director of Music Education at Clayton State University; Mary Hoffman, Director of Music Ministries at Peachtree Presbyterian Church; and trombonist Ed Nicholson.
