This year’s Georgia State University homecoming festivities promise lots of blue, white and excitement for everyone, and that includes current and prospective Perimeter College students and alumni.
All six Georgia State campuses have scheduled events, starting with a press conference Oct. 12 to announce activities and the 2017 Homecoming Royal Court, featuring Mr. and Miss Perimeter College.
In conjunction with homecoming events, Georgia State’s Perimeter Campus in Newton County will celebrate its first decade of serving the community. The 10-year anniversary activities will include a student showcase, speeches from former students and a welcome from Dr. Peter Lyons, Perimeter College dean and vice provost. A cancer awareness walk/run, blood drive and free food giveaways are among activities planned for other Perimeter campuses.
Students university-wide will get a shot at becoming a Homecoming VIP—Very Important Panther—based on the number of homecoming-related social media posts they publish Oct. 16-19 using #HomeATLast. Winners will receive admission to exclusive pre-game events, reserved seating at the football game and more.
Visit GSU Homecoming Central for a full range of activities leading to the Oct. 21 homecoming football game.
