Students from three South DeKalb high schools can learn more about succeeding in college during a town hall meeting Saturday at Georgia State University's Decatur Campus.
Graduating seniors and other interested students (and their families) from Southwest DeKalb, Cedar Grove and Columbia high schools are invited to a conversation about college success strategies and financial aid April 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Georgia State University’s Decatur Campus.
The State Farm College Access Town Hall will feature V-103 radio disc jockey Ryan Cameron from WVEE-FM as host of the event. Attendees are invited to:
- Hear from noted professionals in the fields of college admission, financial aid and academia.
- Attend college readiness workshops
- Participate in a community resource fair
- Enjoy free giveaways and prizes
The free event is sponsored by State Farm, the Georgia State Learning Income and Family Transformation (LIFT) program and Georgia State University’s Perimeter College. Georgia State University’s Decatur Campus is at 3251 Panthersville Road in Decatur, Ga.
