Georgia State Law made its debut at No. 50 on the National Law Journal’s “Go-To Law Schools.” The annual report ranks law schools that sent the highest percentage of graduates into associate jobs at the largest 100 U.S. law firms.
“We are a Go-To Law School by almost any measure including our rigorous curriculum, consistently high selectivity ratio, focus on experiential learning, excellent faculty, flexibility that provides opportunities for both full- and part-time students and low tuition,” said Steven J. Kaminshine, dean and professor of law. “All of these factors contribute to our students being positioned for success after graduation.”
Georgia State Law was ranked at No. 50 for sending 6.9 percent of its 2016 graduates into associate jobs at large firms. There were 175 J.D. graduates in the Class of 2016.
“We are especially proud of the Class of 2016. These graduates have shown they strive for success and to be leaders in the legal field,” Kaminshine said.
Emory University School of Law was No. 26 on the list while the University of Georgia School of Law as No. 36. The full report will be published in the journal's March 6 issue.
