After six years as a U.S. Navy seaman and a brief stint working in the power industry, Antonio Molina turned his attention to attending college. He found a welcome reception at Georgia State University’s Perimeter College, which at the time was focused on developing initiatives aimed at helping veterans succeed in college.
“I knew that I wasn’t ready for a four-year school,” he said, “and that’s why Perimeter was so important to me back then.”
A 2011 graduate, Molina studied political science while at Perimeter and quickly got involved in student life, serving as vice president for both the History and Politics Club and Student Government Association on the Clarkston Campus. Then, he received his bachelor’s degree from Emory University before enrolling in Georgia State’s law school in 2014.
Molina now balances studying law with his dedication to being a father and husband. He also is chair of the Latino Caucasus for the Democratic Party of Georgia and chief operating officer at the family-owned Consultorio Medico Hispano, where his dad is lead physician.
Georgia Trend magazine named Molina one of its 40 Under 40 in 2015.
