Bio
Sina is an assistant professor of Supply Chain and Operations Management in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. His research interests primarily include service operations and retail operations. Sina’s research in service operations investigates product-service interactions and online service platforms. And his work in retail operations investigates various issues in the automobile supply chains including dealership services and online retail technologies. Sina’s research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Production and Operations Management. His work on virtual showrooms was nominated for the best paper award at WITS. Additionally, his work on supply chain implications of dealer service quality won the FT50 Publication Award from Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University. Sina’s dissertation focused on service-oriented business models. His work on this topic won the Academy of Management Best Student Paper Award and became a finalist in the IBM INFORMS Best Student Paper Award. Sina received his Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Prior to joining Georgia State, he served as an assistant professor of operations management at Kennesaw State University and completed a post-doctoral program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sina also worked at Walmart Ecommerce as a last-mile logistics analyst where he contributed to the development of Walmart's various delivery initiatives. He received his master’s degree in Information Technology and his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the KNT University of Technology.
