Bio
David Iwaniec is an assistant professor in the Urban Studies Institute. He is a sustainability scientist with a background in social-ecological systems and urban ecology. His research emphasis is on urban sustainability and has been funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, International Social Science Council, Future Earth, Stockholm Resilience Center and other institutions.
Iwaniec conducts transdisciplinary research to learn from, and improve, the planning and governance of urban systems. His work pursues a transformational agenda to guide and shape our urban futures with an aim to co-develop evidence-based and transformative pathways to sustainability, resilience and equity.
