Bio
John C. Thomas’ research focuses on how citizens connect with their governments and how those connections can be improved. He has five books and more than 60 articles in print, including his latest books, “Citizen, Customer, Partner: Engaging the Public in Public Management,” which is designed to help students, practitioners and scholars understand when and how the public should be integrated into the practice of public administration, and “Leading as a Public-Minded Manager: People, Politics, Purpose,” which provides guidance on how managers in the public and nonprofit sectors can develop and apply leadership skills to help advance policy.
