Bio
Dan Whitaker is co-director of the National SafeCare Training and Research Center (NSTRC), a center in the School of Public Health that focuses on the dissemination of SafeCare, a parenting program for preventing child physical abuse and neglect. He researches family violence. Whitaker’s work has been funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, the Administration on Children and Families, the Administration on Healthcare Research and Quality, and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute. He is editor-in-chief of Child Maltreatment.
