Chad Killian guests on the "Playing with Research in Health and Physical Education" podcast, discussing online physical education during these unprecedented times. He and his colleagues are also developing a free five-week course for high school physical education teachers to use during these extended school closures called Understanding Physical Activity for Wellness. They are distributing it through social media and teacher networks. Their purpose is to help high school physical education teachers help their students manage and thrive during this uncertain time. Bio
Chad Killian, assistant professor the College of Education & Human Development’s Department of Kinesiology and Health, studies the application of digital technologies within the kindergarten through 12th grade physical education context. He seeks to understand the extent to which these technologies can be used to support student learning and physical activity opportunities within and beyond the school environment. Killian has also presented at more than 40 international, national, state and regional conferences and professional development workshops.
