ATLANTA — Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business announces an expanded suite of generative AI graduate courses and degree offerings designed to prepare students for the evolving demands of business in the digital era.
“For over a decade, Robinson has been dedicated to exploring new, interdisciplinary areas of research and academic programming that connect computer scientists with our management faculty, enabling them to understand, model, and shape the businesses and online experiences of the future. Our new AI-focused offerings are not a sudden pivot; rather, they are a natural extension of ongoing work, preparing students to harness generative AI for transformative solutions,” said Richard Phillips, dean of the Robinson College of Business.
Expanded AI Offerings
Robinson’s newest AI expansion involves revising current courses and programs and introducing new ones. This expansion highlights interdisciplinary collaboration, the innovation made possible by the latest advances in AI, and the creation of immersive experiences that empower students to tackle real challenges.
- Master of Interdisciplinary Studies (MIS): Accounting and Data Science Concentration
A new degree that merges advanced accounting knowledge with AI-driven data analysis, meeting growing market demand for tech-savvy CPAs and financial professionals. - AI Business Innovation Certificate
A new, flexible, 12-credit-hour graduate credential enabling professionals to master AI’s role in digital business transformation, driving innovation, and creating value. - M.S. in Data Science and Analytics
This top-ranked degree program is being refreshed to ensure business professionals have the technical skills to build and deploy machine learning and generative AI solutions across various industries. - M.S. in Information Systems
Ranked in the top ten by U.S. News & World Report, this program will enhance two of the three concentrations: AI for data-driven business will focus on AI-powered business insights, and AI for business innovation will explore AI’s role in the digital transformation of business. - MBA with AI Business Innovation
As part of the highly ranked MBA program, students can customize their degree with AI coursework and an optional STEM-designated major in business analysis. Students may also earn the AI business innovation certificate by leveraging their electives.
As part of this college-wide endeavor, Robinson is introducing more than 10 new AI courses and revising over 20 courses in areas such as generative AI, ethics, finance, and business innovation. These enhancements ensure students are well-equipped with in-demand AI expertise, positioning them to lead data-driven decision-making and strategic innovation within their organizations.
