Perimeter College proved to be the perfect reboot for Bobby Amrozowicz, who initially started his college career elsewhere.
“I struggled with my grades while attending college away from home and decided to come back and attend classes at DeKalb to work toward an associate degree,” he recalled of enrolling at Perimeter’s Clarkston Campus in 1990 when it was named DeKalb College.
Amrozowicz graduated in 1992 and is now Head of IT Partner for Siemens Corporation and Global Service Lead for Digitalization. He also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Management from Georgia State’s Atlanta campus and an MBA in finance from Mercer University.
Amrozowicz considers his re-calibration at Perimeter a great decision.
While at the college, he excelled in his courses and played tennis. He said he enjoyed the smaller sized classes and the fact that teachers were always willing to help him understand concepts.
“It was here at Perimeter where I got my footing as a college student,” Amrozowicz said.
In his spare time, Amrozowicz enjoys spending time with his two daughters and son, running marathons and serving on the Perimeter College Dean’s Advisory Board, where he sometimes connects with and encourages today’s Perimeter students.
For those students, and others, he offers the following advice: “Stay the course and be dedicated to continuing your educational journey as far as you desire, whether that is a two- year degree, four-year degree or beyond,” Amrozowicz said.
“Life is a marathon and not a sprint so continue to learn and refine along the way.”
