ATLANTA—Georgia State President M. Brian Blake was recognized Thursday, March 14, by the Georgia Senate for his leadership at the university.
Sen. Tonya Anderson (D-43) introduced Senate Resolution 672 to honor President Blake.
“I am profoundly grateful and humbled for this recognition. As a Georgia native, I know that it is truly a dream come true to serve as president of Georgia State,” Blake said.
Blake said that the acknowledgement is a testament to the administrators, faculty and staff at Georgia State.
"I’m incredibly proud that GSU is an institution that has contributed to the economic growth of our state for more than 110 years,” he said. “One way this is accomplished is by adequately preparing our students for their future careers, thus positively impacting the Georgia workforce.”
