ATLANTA –Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business has named the finalists for its annual Marketing Awards for Excellence (MAX Awards). The MAX Awards honor the best in in new products, services and ways to market developed in Georgia in the prior calendar year. Entries are judged on the criteria of innovation, marketing support and marketplace success.
Grand winners will be announced, and finalists and semifinalists will be recognized at the Future of Marketing Conference on Feb. 29 at the Georgia Aquarium. The conference brings together senior marketing professionals from throughout the Southeast for a half day of learning with leading futurists and some of the nation’s most knowledgeable marketing officers.
Now in its 28th year, the MAX Awards finalists this year are:
- Emory Healthcare-Winship Cancer Institute of Emory Healthcare. It is a state-of-the-art, $440 million cancer care center that reimagines cancer treatment by organizing care around specific cancer types within "care communities," offering a seamless and integrated treatment experience for patients.
- SalesLoft-SalesLoft Rhythm. Launched in June 2023, it is a revolutionary revenue workflow solution powered by Conductor AI. It's designed to optimize B2B sales by transforming complex and disjointed sales processes into streamlined, AI-driven workflows, enhancing productivity and business outcomes for sales teams.
- UPS-UPS & Fashion Week. The September 2023 campaign was a pioneering, purpose-driven marketing initiative aimed at reinvigorating a 116-year-old brand by connecting with the fashion industry. The campaign focused on recognizing and promoting Black-owned designer businesses, showcasing their work at a high-profile event, and thereby driving engagement and cultural relevance for UPS among younger and more diverse small and medium-sized business owners.
- Georgia Aquarium- Resident Pass. The Aquarium's Resident Pass is an innovative offering that allows Georgia residents to pay for one day and enjoy unlimited visits for the rest of the year (2023).

This year’s program will feature keynote addresses from two futurists – Neil Hoyne, chief strategist at Google, Inc. and J. Walker Smith, chief knowledge officer of Kantar – and a panel of four chief marketing leaders. The Metro Atlanta Chamber will also be previewing their upcoming workforce campaign: “Atlanta Where You Belong.”
The event is produced in collaboration with the Department of Marketing and Georgia State’s Marketing RoundTable at the Robinson College of Business. The GSU Marketing RoundTable is one of the longest-running marketing roundtables in the country, comprising more than 50 senior marketing professionals representing many of Georgia’s premier companies. Members of the Marketing RoundTable help judge the entries for the MAX Awards.
Tickets for the Future of Marketing Conference are $220 per person or $1,900 for a table of 10. All event proceeds will support the Robinson College’s Outstanding Marketing Student Scholarship Fund. Sponsors are Equifax, WABE, Georgia Pacific and Chick-fil-A.
