ATLANTA ‒ The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia has approved the appointment of Charles Dhanaraj to the J. Mack Robinson Professorship at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business. Dhanaraj is academic director of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program and a professor in the Institute of International Business.
An elected Fellow of the Academy of International Business, Dhanaraj joined Robinson in July 2023 from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. He also has taught in institutions around the world, including Canada, India, Singapore and Switzerland.
Dhanaraj’s research focuses on strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on understanding the impact of digital technology on global organizations, and his work has been published in top scholarly and practitioner journals. In addition to conducting his own research, Dhanaraj will cultivate the research prowess of senior-level executives in Robinson’s three-year DBA program.
“Charles Dhanaraj’s impressive research and teaching career has given him insights into the future direction of global business that put him at the forefront of advancing theory and practice,” said Dean Richard Phillips. “I look forward to his accomplishments as J. Mack Robinson Professor and seeing him spark intellectual curiosity among our students and his faculty colleagues alike.”
Dhanaraj holds a doctorate in international strategy from Western University in Ontario.
The J. Mack Robinson Professorship was established in 1999 when J. Mack Robinson endowed a fund to support Georgia State’s College of Business Administration, which was renamed in his honor in 2000.
