ATLANTA – Mourad Dakhli, clinical professor of international business, has been appointed associate dean for international student engagement and partnerships at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. He is responsible for the college’s international strategy and engagement, directs experiences for international students enrolled in Robinson programs in Atlanta, and oversees its partnerships with foreign universities.
Dakhli joined Georgia State in 2012. His research centers on the value-generating processes of human and social capital across different cultural and institutional settings and the implications for learning and innovation. He previously was on faculty at the American University of Kuwait and taught at the University of South Carolina, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, and the Caucasus School of Business (Republic of Georgia), among other institutions.
“Mourad’s excellence as an instructor, deep understanding of the educational needs of international students, his network of relationships worldwide, and his expertise in building partnerships with international institutions will make him an outstanding associate dean for international student engagement and partnerships,” said Robinson Dean Richard Phillips.
“Robinson’s best practices, innovations, and signature programs have global appeal. We see this in the number of leading universities worldwide contacting us seeking partnerships and in the increasing number of international students we attract,” said Dakhli.
Mourad Dakhli holds a B.E. from Youngstown State University, an MBA from Wright State University, and a doctorate from the University of South Carolina. He received Georgia State University’s 2020 Instructional Innovation Award and the Robinson College’s 2021 Teaching Excellence Award.
