John Hicks Appointed Assistant Dean for Finance & Administration

ATLANTA –John Hicks (MBA ’11) has been appointed assistant dean for finance and administration at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, after serving as interim director since fall 2022. He previously was Robinson’s director of graduate student financial services and college financial forecasting.

As Robinson's assistant dean for finance and administration, Hicks is charged with coordination across the college’s three divisions of finance and administration: facilities, instructional technology, and financial services.

“John has been a valued member of the Robinson community for over 20 years,” said Dean Richard Phillips. “He brings a deep knowledge of Georgia State from working in multiple units along with an understanding of the student experience as an alumnus.”

John Hicks joined Georgia State as an accountant in 2002. In addition to his Georgia State MBA, he holds a B.B.A. from Florida A&M University.
