ATLANTA—After hearing feedback from students at a Safety Town Hall earlier this week, Georgia State University is expanding campus shuttle services until 2 a.m. to align with university operations.
The university will complete safety assessments of residence halls, including security staffing, safety monitoring and access control, and provide additional training for residence hall assistants to support student workers.
Georgia State is also expanding the university’s safety escort service and will continue to publicize the police and safety resources available to students, faculty and staff on a new operations website and through safety communications campaigns.
The university is also continuing to move forward with recommendations from our campus safety assessments, including lighting solutions, cameras and call boxes, and access control.
