ATLANTA — Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions alumni Tamara Melton and Fortune Onwuzuruike have been named to the Georgia State University Alumni Association 2022 class of 40 Under 40. Founded in 2018, the 40 Under 40 program recognizes and honors the most influential and innovative graduates who embody the values of Georgia State.
Melton is a 2007 alumna of the Master of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in nutrition and owns TSM Nutrition Consultants, LLC. She is the co-founder and executive director of Diversify Dietetics, a nonprofit supporting underrepresented dietetics students and professionals of color.
Onwuzuruike is a 2017 alumnus of the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in health informatics. He is a cybersecurity program manager at Microsoft. He also is the co-founder of Just Focus Foundation.
“These remarkable young Georgia State alumni are doing incredible work in the world, and I’m excited to see the meaningful contributions they’ll make going forward,” said Georgia State President M. Brian Blake. “Congratulations to this exceptional class of Panther leaders.”
The 2022 class of 40 Under 40 alumni will be honored at a March 24 ceremony and reception at the Foundry at Puritan Mill, 916 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. NW, Atlanta. The event is open to the public, and tickets are $40.
