Atlanta – Eight hundred fifty-five students graduated from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business during spring 2021 commencement exercises, with 683 earning a Bachelor of Business Administration, 157 earning master’s degrees, and 15 earning doctoral degrees.
“The world certainly looks different from when you started your studies, and this surely has not been the educational experience you anticipated. Nonetheless, you took it in stride,” said Richard Phillips, dean of the Robinson College of Business, in a message he recorded for the graduates.
“Earning your degree during the coronavirus pandemic provides a perfect example of your ability to flex and be agile. Be ready to share how you adjusted when interviewers or your employers asks how well you can adapt during disruptive times.”
Robinson’s spring 2021 graduates encompass multiple states, nations and generations.

Phillips encouraged the Class of 2021 to remain active in the life of the college and the university.
“Stay in touch with your career counselor, get involved in alumni affairs, attend Georgia State networking events, virtually or in-person. There are 80,000 Robinson College alumni, many of whom live in the Atlanta area. You will not find a larger or more powerful network of business school alumni in this region. You will also not find a more helpful group of individuals – so don’t be shy,” Phillips said.
