ATLANTA--Georgia State University’s Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions has named Beth Cayce (B.S. ’75) and Jacqueline Herd to its advisory board.
Cayce, a physical therapy alumna, is chief executive officer of CaraVita HomeCare and CVSC, LLC, which offers services to independently living seniors and manages senior living communities. She serves on the board of Georgia Senior Living Association (GSLA) and the Foundation of Wesley Woods. Cayce has received an award named for her by the GSLA, the 2013 Georgia Small Businessperson of the Year award and two awards from the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
Herd is the executive vice president and chief nursing officer (CNO) of the Grady Health System. She was previously CNO at Atlanta Medical Center and has held multiple leadership positions in the Georgia Organization of Nurse Leaders, including president-elect, president and immediate past president. She also serves on the American Organization for Nursing Leadership board of directors, Region 4. Herd earned a bachelor’s degree in health science and a master’s degree in family nurse practice from California State University – Dominguez Hills and a doctor of nursing practice from Walden University.
