ATLANTA - This past year, Campus Movie Fest (CMF) received thousands of submissions for its annual traveling student film festival and among its top 25 selections available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video is senior film major Benjamin Martin.
Martin credits FMT’s collaboration with the Georgia Film Academy as instrumental in his knowledge of film production.
“Every class I’ve taken here has given me something valuable,” says Martin.
Martin’s film “Phantom,” is a science fiction jury award winning film at the 2018 CMF. In this project he explores the escapism of virtual reality. The films protagonist, however, finds himself unable to keep the lines of what’s real and what’s not from becoming blurred.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Sci-Fi – the aesthetic, the technology, and the stories you’re able to tell through that genre. The struggle was coming up with something that I could pull off in a matter of days with no budget,” says Martin.
Prime Video is home to award-winning and critically-acclaimed content and is accessible to anyone with a Prime or Prime Student membership. To view “Phantom” and the other top 25 CMF films currently featured on Prime Video, visit www.amazon.com/v/campusmoviefest.
