ATLANTA—Jennifer McCoy, Distinguished University Professor of Political Science, has recently been featured on numerous worldwide media outlets to discuss the current controversy in Venezuela, including the country’s new Constituent Assembly and accusations of authorities tampering with votes.
McCoy has more than 30 years of experience in the political science discipline, specializing in democratization and polarization, mediation and conflict prevention, election processes and observation and Latin American politics. She is also the founding director of Georgia State University’s Global Studies Institute and former director of the Carter Center’s Americas Program (1998-2015).
