ATLANTA—More than 140 students from 10 departments in the College of Arts and Sciences in the Fall 2017 Undergraduate STEM Research Conference at Georgia State University's Natural Sciences Building on Oct. 27, 2017.
The Undergraduate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Conference is an informal opportunity to practice research presentation skills for future class work and conference attendance. Students presented research, research proposals, or literature on topics of interest.
Students displayed both PowerPoint slides and printed posters; each had 45 minutes to discuss their work with interested faculty and colleagues.
Undergraduate STEM Research Society (USRS) officers Eudoxie Bataba, Joseph Williamson, Noa Erlitzki, Tobi Ogunyale and Ibukun Gioia Ige, along with the Georgia State Office of STEM Initiatives, including Dr. Paul Ulrich and the Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) Program, helped to highlight the STEM students' work.
The Spring 2018 Undergraduate STEM Conference will be on Friday, March 30, 2018. Sign-ups will start in February, and the deadline will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28.
