Kumar is among the world’s most prolific marketing scholars, with more than 200 papers in leading scholarly journals including the Harvard Business Review, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Marketing Science; and books including Profitable Customer Engagement, Managing Customers for Profit, Customer Relationship Management and Customer Lifetime Value.
In addition to leading the Center for Excellence in Brand & Customer Management, Kumar directs Robinson’s Ph.D. program in marketing. He holds the Richard and Susan Lenny Distinguished Chair in Marketing and has been recognized with eight lifetime achievement awards for marketing strategy, inter-organizational issues, retailing, and business-to-business marketing. He has been chosen as a Legend in Marketing where his work is published in a 10-volume encyclopedia with commentaries from scholars worldwide.
