More than 8,900 students graduated from Georgia State on May 7, 2016. Meet a few of the athletes, artists, advocates and scholars who will receive their diplomas this month.
Georgia State’s most creative and thought-provoking course offerings span a wide range of topics, but they all explore intersections—between the environment and the lab, biotechnology and ethics, the academic world and pop culture. Here’s a sampling of the unique classes faculty are teaching this spring and what students have to say about them.
R. Andrew Sevrinsky, a Georgia State University Honors College student, has been named a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar, one of 252 award recipients nationwide.

ATLANTA–For the ninth consecutive year, Georgia State University has set a record for its largest enrollment, growing in size, diversity and quality. At 3,370, the freshman class has grown by 8 percent since last year, with a record high school grade-point average of 3.4.
