Carrie O'Brien (B.B.A.'07, J.D. '14) is the chief operating and compliance officer for Arcan Capital, a privately held real estate company focused on the acquisition and management of apartment properties throughout the southeast, mid-Atlantic and south-central United States. She oversees corporate office operations at the company headquarters and is responsible for compliance associated with investment and property management activities.
"Each day I have the ability to impact company policy, structure and function-creating jobs, promoting abolition of the gender pay gap, facilitating a favorable work environment, rewarding initiative and hard work," she said.
Prior to joining Arcan, O'Brien was the general manager of WDRPM Inc. in the metro Atlanta area, serving as director o the William D. Reeves Family Office. There she oversaw operations and was actively involved in the selection and management of multi-million-dollar investments in real estate, businesses and financial markets.
O'Brien has served as a panelist for Georgia State's WomenLead program, and volunteers as a judge for the William Daniel Mock Trial Competition. She earned a B.B.A. in real estate from Georgia State.
