President Becker Named One of Atlanta’s Most Admired Chief Executives

ATLANTA—Mark Becker, president of Georgia State University, has been named one of Atlanta’s most admired chief executive officers (CEOs) by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Based on votes from readers, the newspaper selected 11 “most admired” CEOs from 55 reader-submitted nominees. The winners were honored at a ceremony on April 22 at the Cobb Energy Centre.

The newspaper described the 11 honorees as “executives who are established leaders with a strong record of innovation in their field, outstanding financial performance, a commitment to quality, a strong vision and a commitment to diversity.”

The nominees represented 11 industry categories: education, finance, health care, hospitality, manufacturing, nonprofit, professional services, public company, commercial real estate, residential real estate and technology, according to the newspaper.
